A: Each residence is equipped with an electric heat pump and A/C system. An electric heat pump is a central air conditioning and highly efficient heating system that extracts remaining heat from the outside air in the winter time and pumps it into your home. What heat it cannot extract is then subsidized by an electric heating element.
